Sensational Haiku Wednesday

Jen at youknowthatblog.com hosts this. I can't play often because my M-W is usually pretty crazy, but sometimes I get inspired.  Or not. You can decide.  This week's theme:
Crabby

We scuttle sideways
Avoiding issues that hurt
Back under that rock!

And just so you all know, I'm really not usually crabby. I've been described as relentlessly cheerful. I prefer to think it was a compliment.

Sensational Haiku Wednesday

Join the fun!

Jenn at YouKnowThatBlog hosts this.  It's fun to try. I'm sure real haiku poets would be appalled at our frivolity, but I don't mind being a "haiku hack."

This week's theme is

COMFORT ZONE

I worry less now
about other people's thoughts
and stretch more each day

Learning who I am
daughter of the Creator
loved by my Maker

Don't want to fail him
when he tells me to stand tall
and gives me His strength

His ways are not mine
my comfort zone is restrained
His zone for me ROCKS!

Haiku Wednesday

Haiku is not complicated, and yet it can be very deep. 5-7-5 seems simple. But...fortunately, Jenn at You know ... that Blog? is very kind to beginners, so join in each Wednesday for Silly Haiku.

THEME FOR THE WEEK: Changes

When will I see change?
Compassionate Creator
Lord, I yield my heart.

Spirit of Giving

Join the fun!

This week's theme: Spirit of Giving (Specifically, what are you doing to share the joy this season)

To love relatives
is the way to share Christmas;
joy and challenge both

Thanks Jenn at You Know . . . that Blog? for pushing us to be a little bit more creative.

Something New

Join the fun!

A new meme to participate in - some new friends to make. Thanks Quilly for inspiring me today.

This isn't a very silly Haiku, and it is poorly written, but it is sincere!
