Microfiction Monday

Susan at Stony River generously hosts this meme each Monday. She also writes hilarious and touching things in her blog, so she's worth visiting at other times as well.

She gives us a photo, we tell a story in 140 characters or fewer.  The 140 includes all spaces and punctuation. Sounds simple? Try it!

We don’t need no stinking contented cows. Pull over and give us all your green stuff.

My son worked on a farm milking, demanding cows are alive and running around loose! Wonder what green stuff is to a cow....clover?

All, the ambivalence of "green stuff" is what made it funny to me. If it's a hold up, it would be money, but they're COWS so I don't know -- grass? But that has a double meaning too!

Thanks all for the nice comments. Microfiction Monday is so much FUN!

I guess they felt it was time to get even since they give us so much. Why should the grocer get all the money?

They do have a sinister look about them. Ever walked through a field with cows in it? They're all scattered about seemingly minding their own business and then you look around...and they're following you.....
