Microfiction Monday

Susan at Stony River hosts a very cool meme on Mondays. She posts a photo and invites us to blog about it. In 140 characters or fewer. That 140 count includes all spaces, punctuation, etc

For someone like me, who has way more words inside her than most people ever want to hear, this is a difficult challenge. However, I find that having to hone what I want to express makes me much clearer and hopefully, makes me a better writer. That said, I have to admit that most of my words today are NOT original to me. Hee hee -- you'll see what I mean.

Creator:I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Gen 9:13

Teary Eyes:Thank you

Very nice Mom, I liked this.

Oh, to make the musical notes press the alt key then type 13 or the single note or 14 for the double note whilst holding down the alt key.

Very well done, indeed. Your second paragraph in this post is like spoken from my heart. I would love to be good with words like all our other friends. Have a wonderful week :)

I agree with what you wrote -- I usually use way too many words, and this makes me really think and pare it down to essentials.

I took a similar road with mine this week. I especially love the response in the last four words.

What a beautiful story to come home to, thank you!

When I posted the photo last night, my mind ran toward its usual fairies and aliens LOL; that's just me! But today we went to a dedication for our kids' special-needs school, and when we left the reception, I put the kids in the car, shut the door on them...and along with their faces watching me, saw a rainbow reflected in the window: it was behind me, arcing over the whole sky. It was like a special goodbye and promise to look over these two, who need so much looking after! To come home and see your story and the verse you chose, was just perfect.

It is good I didn't read your post before doing mine. I was already feeling a bit guilty about altering the rainbow. After this wonderful offering I simply couldn't have done it!

To this day when I see a rainbow after a storm, my first thought is, "Yes God, I remember." Always makes me smile.

Thanks for going a different way with this as we head towards Thanksgiving! See you next Monday!
