Susan at Stony River is kind enough to oblige us again by offering a photo for Microfiction Monday. She provides the fodder, we tell the story . . . in 140 characters or less (including all spaces and punctuation!).
Here's the photo:
I couldn't make up my mind. So here are two. Tell me in the comments which one you prefer.
Damn! If I don't find that contact lens I'll never get to be lead bird on the migration!
OR
I’ve never seen a more stunningly beautiful mass of feathers and elegance. You remind me of someone I’ve seen before.

LOL I love them both but the second one if my favorite :) It so looks like she is actually saying that to me LOL Well done :)
Oh, you're terrific! I love both of them!! What fun! Have a wonderful week! Thanks for your visit/comment, as always!

Look at you, two great stories.
Both egually funny!
I think these MFM are a lot of fun and I think you feel the same!
Have a great week!
They're both great! I don't wear contact lenses, but I've watched others search for them: that idea was hilarious. However, I really fell for the phrase 'stunningly beautiful mass of feathers and elegance,' so it's #2 by a whisker... er, feather?
Have a great week.
Not sure which I liked best, but could the second be a consequence of the first ;-)
Enjoyed both.
I can see why you had a hard time to chose. The second one is my favorite. Have a wonderful week.
Swimmmer's always loss their contacts in or near the water!
I have a draw to pick a favorite! They are both great! Either looking for contacts or looking for love, your goose has caught my attention! It is good to laugh!
Thank you for these wonderful stories! Caio!
I love BOTH!
You ROCK it!
Now I cannot get the image of a bespectacled swan out of my mind!
Have a great week1

As a former contact lens wearer I can totally relate to the first one, but the second one is totally hilarious - I vote for it.
The second one is TOTALLY inspired by our parakeet. When she's being particularly noisy, we pull out a mirror and put it on the counter. She runs over, delighted to see her best friend, and starts making cooing lovely-dovey noises at her reflection.
I laughed out loud at both!! As a contact lens wearer, maybe the first is my favourite - I can imagine swans having problems but THAT wasn't one I thought of LOL
Your link from the MM signin isn't working, so I'll fix it for you -- sorry I found it so late though!
Vanity, vanity all is vanity. Thanks for dropping by. This week I have dug into mythology for my micro story
wow, two for the price of one! and both great but the second one wins by a down's width :)
Guess I'm in the minority, but that's never stopped me. My vote goes to the first one. But I truly enjoyed both.
My Microfiction
The first one made me grin. The second one got a real live chuckle. These were both great and worth being proud of!
Love both of them for different reasons!
This is a case of not being able to make up your mind being a GOOD thing!
Thanks Susan -- everyone did seem to find me though!
It did occur to me that putting lenses in, never mind taking them out, with feather tips rather than finger tips might be a bit awkward.
Have you read Trumpet of the Swan by E.B. White? It's a wonderful story to read aloud to children, and celebrates children being different but valued. Might help your young man.
hmm. I like them both. I hope she finds her lenses and get to lead the pack. have a lovely day!
