Microfiction Monday

Susan, at Stony River, has given us another one!  Get out your abacus, and red pencil, and slash your story down to 140 characters, all spaces and punctuation included. Then post, link, and visit!  Easy-peasy!
Note: I really must remember to link after auto-posting. Sigh.

This week's illustration:

Luke discovered that thumbing his nose at the ocean was an exercise in futility and stupidity and a waste of good hair.

Intriguing! I don't understand the reference to hair I'm afraid so feeling a little dim. Please enlighten me. ;O)

LOL--"a waste of good hair" I love it, especially because water ruins whatever efforts I put into taming my hair! I didn't notice the thumbing of his nose till I read you story. Funny one today!

The ocean is very powerful and deserves respect. I've pretty respectful when it comes to the ocean.
Enjoyed your story, have a great week.

I've got the same "problem" I keep forgetting to add my link to websites after I auto-post my answers. So here's to us late comers who actually weren't late! :)

Oh, so I should only thumb my nose at the ocean on a bad hair day. I will remember that!

Good thing Luke realised the errors of his ways. Do you think he was having a Bad Hair Day.

It is never a good idea to thumb one's nose at Mother Nature. ;-)

I attend Covenant Church in Shepherdstown, WV. I prefer Sovereign Grace churches myself.

EPC? I am not familiar off the top of my head...

Hadn't noticed the excellent coif--good for you bringing it to my attention. Going to try and slip the "waste of good hair" into some conversation today.

Have a great week.
