If you're new to this, Linda at 2nd Cup of Coffee hosts this great meme that asks a random dozen questions. You answer them on your blog and then link to hers. Then you visit other people's answers and say nice things to them about how random their life is compared to yours. Sounds simple, right? Well . . . it is! So Join US!
1. Do you use the labels various charities send you as “free gifts?” If I like them and they've spelled our name correctly, yes. When my daughter was little my dad once cut off all the little pictures on the ones he'd received and then gave her a whole bag of them for stickers. I very quickly taught her that stickers THAT precious belonged in a note book and gave her an old composition notebook to put them in. Whew!
2. What is your favorite time of day (or night) for skywatching? Dawn. We live down a hill so when the sun rises over the houses across the street, the trees are backlit with pinks and oranges and purples. . . gorgeous. Almost makes up for the fact that we're up before dawn trying to get kids out the door to the bus.
3. What is the most adventurous you've ever been with trying a new food? (Keep it G-rated please) I'm pretty willing to try anything my friend Jim makes. He probably shouldn't tell me what's in it though.
4. Have you ever heard a rock sing? (Trust me, there's a reason for this one!) In Luke 19, Jesus said that even if the people stayed quiet (as the Pharisees wanted), the rocks would cry out (sing). The implication for me was that if I can hear the rocks singing, it means I'm not praising Him loudly or often enough.
5. If you could learn a language you don't presently speak, what would it be? Thai. See #3.
6. Al Capone's tombstone read, “My Jesus, Mercy.” If you could write your own epitaph, what would it say? Don't cry, I'm happy where I am now.
7. If you were a famous musician who was known by one name, like “Cher,” “Sting,” or “Jewel,” what would it be? It doesn’t have to be your first name, but it can be, if you’d like. Atticus
8. Have you ever been inordinately “into” a television show? We love Sci-Fi around here, especially Star Trek Next Generation and Stargate. Praise the Lord for Netflix!
9. When you sneeze, do you go big, or do you do that weird “heenh!” sound that makes people think you’re going to blow your brains out? Any other variation we should know about? I try to keep it quiet, especially if I'm in a meeting! But sometimes one is surprised by a sneeze! And then there are those people who make it a dramatic production suitable for Oscar nomination...
10. Do you still read an actual newspaper that you hold in your hands, or do you get your news elsewhere? Still read the paper, and then put it in the parakeet's cage where it belongs.
11. Are you a good speller? Yes, instinctively.
12. At what time each day do you start thinking aboutLostlunch? I DEFINITELY remember why I asked this one. It seems that every time I walk into the gym my stomach starts growling. Sometimes it isn't even 9 a.m. yet!
To those of you who didn't like these questions, I'm sorry. Now YOU can send her some!

Hi, great questions and great answers. I especially liked #4. That's actually the first thing I thought of when I read that question. And although I'm not a big Sci-fi fan, we can't get enough of Stargate either!
Your questions are fine. I was going to say the same thing for number 4. LOL. Love my Netflix too. And #9 was a HOOT! LOL.
Ahhh, now I understand number 4. Thanks. Something to chew on today.
Great answers.
"there are those people who make it a dramatic production suitable for Oscar nomination..." That's me! I've tried to muffle my sneeze before, but it doesn't really work very well. So these days I just let 'er rip LOL.
LOL on number 12! And now I am sO glad that I've never heard a rock sing! But I do have praise music going most of the time... and it would be hard to hear the rocks above that! :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog. It's nice to meet you. I loved participating in the meme this week! You had some great questions. I can't believe I missed the point of the "rock singing" question, but I tried to be creative with it anway. Have a nice week!
Fun answers!
Like # 4 - just a little early for me to figure out the riddle, I guess.
# 8 - I agree and the DVR too.
I might be one of those oscar winners!
Thanks for contributing & sharing.
There has to be a story behind Atticus. I remember something about Atticus from the movie "That Thing You Do". Is that it?
Fun questions!
Kim, "Atticus" was the only one-word name I could think of that I aspire to (besides Jesus which seems a bit sacrilegious). Atticus is the name of the lawyer dad in "To Kill a Mockingbird." My favorite fictional character as well.
ATTICUS?!!! I didn't read the book he's in...just remember dd talking about it
enjoyed your answers
Enjoyed your answers! And the questions made me think...
That is a good idea for the labels. I get so many of them. I will have to do that for my grandbaby! Thanks for sharing.
until next time... nel
Good questions and answers! We love the Stargate stuff too.
You get up at DAWN?
8-O
I've heard rocks sing, at Luray Caverns -- do stalactites count?
These were great questions, I thought!
Oh yes stickers!! My little girl thought they looked pretty everywhere when she was little. wow was a chore!
Thanks for the verse on the rocks singing. I wasn't sure what that was getting at and that verse was first in my mind b/c our choir director had everyone pass out rocks to people as a campaign to gain members! It was great! but I just wasn't sure. :) So I went silly on it.
Oscar winning sneezes!! Lol I have a friend who can shatter glass. :) AAA Chooooo in the highest key possible.

Actually Susan, we get up before dawn. Sunrise today will be at 7:12 and I've been up since 5:15. Daughter gets on the bus at 6:28. This is the county's way make sure the day care and after school activity companies stay healthy, I guess.
Big Star Trek fan here!
Love them all!
Great answers!
Blessings

Atticus is one who should be remembered, so I approve of the name. And I'm esp. glad to find out the answer for #4! (I should have thought of that one!)
I used to save stickers for my friend's daughters, ala #1, but they were already sticker happy when I met them, LOL. Smart mama!
