I love Microfiction Monday! It shows how writers go all different directions with the same photo. It's also brief, so we can 'get in and get out' quickly and move on to other things that demand our attention! Thanks Susan at Stony River, again for hosting!
Remember when we lads guarded this bridge against Jerry?
You didn’t let girls go either.
You wouldn’t give us a kiss.
You were four years old!
Like Susan, I am acutely aware of the passage of time -- especially for the 'greatest generation' -- those who stood up to tyranny and evil.

My father is of that generation...and still going strong at 90. Nice touch!
Your story is wonderful! I believe those who have made a stand and fought or were sentinel are our honored guests here. You showed how everyone is affected by influential adult acts like war.
A 'too' bridge is like a jaberwock with an Eeyore style 'too bad' and the question of, "Did she mean, 'to bridge'?" Well I did and I didn't.
I think 'bridges' and 'bridging' was key in my reflection, and 'too' or the lack there of was my rhetoric. Have a great week!
Ah, live long and love well.
A great look back. Enjoyed that.
Ah.. BOYS! LOL...
I love your 55! So cute and romantic.
Mine is here Happy MM! Have a wonderful week! hugs shakira
I like this story - it could be true. :)
I am so sorry that I have confused MM with 55! Thank you for pointing that out..
Ah, memories of glory, old and young.
Excellent take on the photo my friend. Ahh the previous generations. Well done :)
Oh to be young again - great take on the picture. (I was going to say 'young and foolish' but the 'foolish' has remained;-/)
Awww, I can just see the bridge with the four-year-olds -- what a great memory to have!
I love this story, nicely done! :-)
so sweet and full of enthusiasm :)
Wonderful take on the Picture. Young Love, nice.
This is so sweet...thanks for starting the week out right.
ahh, a different take. the four year olds and all of us will say hurrah to that brave generation!
We often forget all of the living people have done, never remembering they were young once.
Loved it
